Testimony, Q&A and Next Steps for After the Night
North Douglas Church
May 15, 2026 • 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Many who experience domestic abuse suffer in silence — including within our churches. Too often, they are unseen, unheard, or unsure where to turn. Jesus came to proclaim good news to the poor, freedom for the oppressed, and to bind up the brokenhearted (Isaiah 61). After the Night exists to help the Church reflect that heart.
Join us for a night of testimony, dialogue about domestic abuse, and what's next for this ministry. Together, we can reflect the heart of Christ - bringing light into darkness and hope after the night.
Refreshments will be provided at this event.

Church-Parachurch Workshop
Church of the Nazarene
June 20, 2026 • 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
This will be an opportunity to give voice to the obstacles and challenges you have faced and currently face in walking alongside those affected, or as one affected, by Domestic Abuse within the Church.
We invite the wider Church and parachurch community to join us, including ministry leaders, pastors, social workers, counselors, and lawyers. We will have expert voices at the event, Biblical teaching and we will take a deep dive together in round table discussion.
The workshop is not a 'destination' event, but rather the next step towards developing a gospel-centred training program together that will help to serve and equip the Church within local contexts.
This is your opportunity to provide input. From there we will develop referral and intercession networks, tailored, audience-specific workshops, and church-based support groups to those who are 'in' the Night.
